WE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT KINGDOM-BUILDING, WHEREVER WE ARE

Alongside our regular international outreaches, we are also committed to long-term investment in projects in our local area.

Brighton and Hove Churches Winter Night Shelter

An opportunity to love and serve those who would be rough-sleeping on the streets of Brighton and Hove. The Night Shelter offers them a hot meal and a warm bed for the night throughout the winter months.

According to recent statistics, 1 in 69 people in Brighton and Hove are homeless, the highest levels of homelessness outside of central London. Since 2011, local churches have been taking action and collaboratively begun to run the Brighton and Hove Churches Winter Night Shelter during the coldest winter months.
Each church hosts a specific night of the week, not only meeting physical needs through the food and shelter, but also sharing a meal together to build relationships and community. YWAM Holmsted Manor was invited to be part of the Night Shelter from January 2017, running Wednesday nights in the One Church building in central Brighton.

When: January – April

Crossover - Weekend Breakfasts for the Street Community

Serving a hot breakfast to the street community on Saturday and Sunday mornings from our food van

Weekends can be a difficult and lonely time on the streets and so Crossover provides early morning breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays from 7.30-8.30 in Morley Street, Brighton.  It’s aimed at supporting those who are either sleeping rough or inadequately housed (i.e. have no access to cooking facilities)

In 2018, YWAM Holmsted Manor began running Crossover for the first time, after it was handed over by its original founders, Dave and Linda Bolton.
When: All year
