Don’t let anyone put you down because you’re young.

Teach believers with your life.

So what is Mission Adventures?

Aimed at those finishing GCSE's and A-Levels, Mission Adventures is just over two weeks of deepening your relationship with God as you join an outreach team and work alongside experienced missionaries in a cross-cultural setting. The adventure begins with 4 days of training to prepare you for the 10-day trip, and ends with 2 days of reflection and celebration of what God has done!
Our staff take care of all the details and YWAM missionaries will lead the trip - encouraging, challenging and supporting you the whole way! Location options are focused mainly in Eastern Europe, and include a variety of ministries that give you the opportunity to share the gospel, serve in practical ways, and help you explore what it means to be a missionary both overseas and at home.

WE BELIEVE THAT YOUNG PEOPLE CARRY A PASSION FOR JESUS THAT THE WORLD NEEDS TO SEE

training

Mission flows from a life that’s focused on God; to be able to share about him, we need to know Him first! Mission Adventures starts with a four-day training programme at YWAM Holmsted Manor that is specifically designed to encourage you in your faith as well as give you practical skills that will be needed for the mission field.
The camp will facilitate you going deeper with God through times of worship, prayer and sessions learning more about the character and nature of God. We’ll spend the time getting to know one another, doing fun team-building activities and learning more about mission. Team is the best setting to go out and share the love of Jesus. so whether you’re coming on your own or as part of a larger group, we take time to learn to work together and communicate well within the team.  To ensure you’re best prepared for the outreach, there will also be times of practical teaching and workshops specifically tailored to your outreach location and the skills you will need for ministry in that place.

outreach

After having spent time getting to know God better and getting prepared, groups will then leave on a 10-day outreach with our Mission Adventures staff, all of whom have experience in cross-cultural missions.  Ministry opportunities will vary upon location, but the heart in everything we do is to make God known in that nation. You may find yourself providing food and clothing to those in need; running a children’s summer camp; painting a wall or engaging with people in the streets to share about God’s love.
In all of this, you will be challenged to love the person in front of you and to make God known to them. The schedule during your time away will include ministry time, team time and some free time where you will be able to rest or explore the location that you’re in.

reflection

Following your time away, you and your team will return to YWAM Holmsted Manor for a brief time of discussing and reflecting upon your trip. It’s important that to take the time to look at all that has happened; you and your faith will probably have changed because of the experience! As you process your time away, we will look at sharing your adventure with your friends, family and church as well as what it could look like to apply all that you learned into your daily life at home. We will finished our time together with a celebration of all that God has done by sharing testimonies from the trip with your family and friends.
